Check with the USGS...

The New Madrid Fault Zone (Central Mississippi River Valley) has had FIVE quakes since 4 March 2007... all smaller than 2.0

Which California fault are you asking about ? Just in the San Francisco Bay Area we've had 53 quakes since 4 March 2007... 10 between 2.0 and 3.0
