First and foremost, you must seek legal assistance. You can contact the state bar. Almost all state bar association have a lawyer referral service. In the alternative, if you cannot afford legal representation, then apply to get the help of a public defender/court appointed attorney. Go to the courthouse that you received your charge in and speak to the clerk's office about getting a public defender. If you are able to afford legal representation, search the web for the particular type of offense you have been charged with and an attorney who handles that type of offense. Interview the attorney and see if you want to work with the attorney.

Ride your own beef. Ask the courts to help you by admitting your wrongs and ask for counseling as a condition to help you from yourself and society.
