Are there any stimulating computer programs I can download to play for my 4 month old? I should think there is something with entertaining visualizations for babies, but I have yet to see anything. Any suggestions?

I would love to walk him, but it's winter time.

Yes! http://www.noggin.com

If you have cable network, go to the Noggin channel and they have the neatest baby programs on TV! My daughter is mezmerized by it and watches it everyday. Some good shows are Wonder Pets, Backyardigans, Jack's Big Music Show, Max & Ruby, Ozwald, and Go Diego/Dora.

Babies are stimulated by being held in your arms, walked around the house to look at things, being played with, tickled, rocked, smiled at, laughed at, and all manner of other HUMAN interactions. I think it's great that you want to give your baby early opportunities for intellectual stimulation, but it's really, *really* unnecessary. Besides having researched early interaction/bonding and its effect on intelligence, I gave my own babies as much attention as possible, human interaction rather than artificial, lots of carrying and walking around just seeing our world. Even if it was only the world inside our home. :) Also, they were all breastfed, although not *only* for the benefit of more IQ points. ;)

I have four in school so far, and three so far have been enrolled in "gifted" programs, are constantly being praised for their curiosity and creativity, and as a bonus, are also very social, "people persons". One child is too young yet to participate, but will probably be recommended next year. My two youngest are every bit as bright and social as the others.

I say, forget the computer stuff and just PLAY with your baby. You are the best type of intellectual stimulation there is!

Yes--it's call put that baby in a stroller and take him/her for a walk!

Then, there are not only stimulating visualizations, but breezes to feel, sounds to hear and fragrances to smell, too!

Go for the best experiences for your little one, not the most technologically advanced.

Try going to playhouse Disney and playing some of the Little Einstein clips, there is also another one,but the name slipped my mind. but there are alot of different choices on playhousedisney.com and nickjr.com.I prefer playhouse for m little sister though. Its less noisy.
