12 year old PERIOD PROBLEMS?

i think i had like a first kinda period i dk because it was like brown discharge. and it happened like 2 in like a week or something. i do not know what to say to my mom! help me!!!

i only got it 2 though in like a week. also it was really light idk?

well, i only get the discharge at night, if that makes a difference

that hapened to me to..this means your going to get your period VERY soon..when i had the brownish discharge i got my period the very next day, so yours is just around the corner :) tell your mom about the discharge so she can show you what you need to do so that you can be ready when your period officially begins :) and so you wont have any suprise attacks when your at school ;)

My first period was some brown discharge with some really angry abdominal pain. I never told my Mom since we were never close but you should tell yours. Maybe she can help you figure out what's going on. Don't be shy, if you tell her you can get mutual trust and have a better relationship with her.

I know how you feel. when i first started i was so scared to talk to my mom. But she was away from home and I called her and said..Mom I started. then she had everything id already needed for me. I know for a fact its better to tell her then to hold off. The longer you wait the more stress that builds up inside. just talk to her. she knows what your going through. Even to this day after a year and a half of periods I still get nervous talking my mom about getting tampons. Its ok. dont worry about it! we all go through it!good luck!

your period is not something to take lightly. there is alot u need to know, u will be dealing with this for a long time. It sounds like it is soon to come and u dont want to be suprised. if you cant talk to your mom got to Planned ParentHood ( it is anonymous) or someone else u feel comfortable talking to. It's simple " Mom I think I'm starting my period soon". Good Luck

Hi lucie,dont be frightened,this is all a part of becoming a young lady,I think you should tell your mother, why would you want tp keep this from her? Shes your mom and she has a wealth of knowledge to explain to you . Tell your Mom. When you start your period it can be strange at first but your Mom is a better judge of what is normal or not normal. You can ask her to take you to the doctor if you are worried.

it meens your ganna have your period soon. i had the same problem as you. i was in 6th grade and so embaressed and had no idea what to say to my mom. so i made the mistake of not telling her and going through the akward stage alone. i think the best thing to do was just tell her you think your ganna have your period. it seems hard but once you tell her everything seems so easy to talk about.

Well. It was awkward me telling my mom. But you just kinda gotta do it. She will under stand and help you out. See if she will take you to the store and help you pick out personal products. It will be fun and you will some what of girls quality time ya know?

just go right up to your mom and say, "mom I got my period." don't even think about it. you most definetly got your period. you need to tell your mother so she can help you. tell her right now! go go! you're very lucky that it was light. it will get heavier, and it WILL leak through your clothing, so you're mother will find out eventually.
