=mean(value1,value2,value3)
or =mean(value1:value3)
so, if you want to find the mean of all the cells in row x (x1 to x23), type this in the cell where you want the mean to appear:
=mean(x1:x23)
after you press enter, it should figure it out for you.

1) Goto the cell you want to to show the mean.
2) Type, "=average("
3) Select with the mouse the cells you want to average (mean).
4) Type ")"
5) Hit enter. The average (mean) should then be there.
