Take snippings of carpet out of a closet (just the fibers) and then glue them in the place that is bad (once you have cut out the stain). Looks brand new!!

Try with a little white wine , white wine removes red wine stains ,and I have removed orange juice coffee and other stains by doing this. So if you would like to try here´s how. Pour some white wine over the stain let it soak in for a few min´s. Then blot with kitchen roll, once your happy the stain has been lifted sponge the carpet with tepid water & a little of your own hair shampoo, sponge rinse with cold water & make sure all the suds are out. Then lay a towel on top of the wet patch with a heavy object on, leave like this over night as this will help dry up any water from the underside of the carpet , Leave to dry with natural air . you could also use a umidifier if you have one, this will help to take some of the water out

Oxy clean wont get out the sticky residue. Plus oxy clean is loaded with optical brightners which will make the stain appear to be gone. Try calling a professional carpet cleaner in your area and see if they can get you a Bridgepoint product called AVENGE. It is a netural spotter and wont attract any residue. If you could post what state and city you are from I could help you locate a professional cleaner in your area that might carry it.
