no its a very good name, one that is always lovely but has been out of fashion for a while I imagine ruth is going to start coming back as well, I know many young women who are naming there children after grandparents I in fact named my daughters middle name after my favorite grandmother. There are many girls being named emma so she may want to that into account.
Jennifer and Mary are not out of fashion.

It's not a stupid name, but it is the number 1 name in the United States which means she will go to school with a LOT of Emmas.

No its beautiful, and a lot of Emily Clarkson fans LOVE it! Its getting very popular. All the Emma's I know (4) are good people.

I don't think it's a stupid name. It IS a popular name, but if it's a name your friend loves, it should be the name of your friend's baby.

I love the name Emma. I would use Rose, or Nicloe, or Reane for middle names.
