That's one of those questions you'll never know the answer to.
2 of my kids were in a car crash (semi driver fell asleep at the wheel, hit my daughter's car head on) and the result was one of m y kids died and one lived. Who knows why these things happen. I know my son went through some horrible survivor guilt. We just helped him through it as much as we could. He's since worked through his feelings, but it took a long time. We honor the memory of our daughter, we're thankful that our son is still here, and try to live good lives. I hope you work through your feelings. Don't let the feelings you're having destroy you. You were saved for a reason. Go out there and do something great!

You were very lucky. Now instead of feeling like he has been cheated think of the people you are cheating by not sharing your story get to work and help others. If you help maybe someone else's kid will make it home. Try opening a drive your car home business(your employees drive people who have been drinking home in their vehicles with another staff member following behind). Join MADD do talks in high schools for SADD. Something vocalize don't make this about you make it about those you can stop from doing the same as your young friend.

You lived because you need to use your experiences to make this world a better place and dissuade people to drink and drive... or persuade them to do the right thing. You lived because God has a plan for you, and your job is to figure out what it is.

That young man died because it was his time to move on. His life had meaning and his death also should be used to send a message to stupid people who drink and drive. Each circumstance is spreading the message to different people, just in a different way.

Don't dwell on it.. enjoy life and use it in a positive way.

It was just your friend's time to go. None of know when it will be our time to go. In your accident, it wasn't your time to go.

Things happen for a reason...even though we can't fathom why.
