Check with the owner's manual, and see what fuels are acceptable. If you don't have a manual, then call a dealer's service department and ask them what fuel is recommended.

Depending on your compression ratio, it should run - but be warned: ethanol will eat away at any rubber, and some of the metals, in the fuel system. And since ethanol has a higher octane rating than gasoline (pure ethanol is about 150 octane), it probably won't run very well, since rotaries aren't exactly renown for great compression (particularly when they are getting a bit worn.) Without the required compression, the fuel will burn much more slowly, meaning that the engine will have less power, especially at high revs - which is what rotaries usually love.

Yes, but only with the right modifications. You will need to go over the fuel system and replace anything aluminum or made from rubber that's not compatible with ethanol. And you will need to reprogram the computer to run on ethanol, as it will need to add considerably more fuel. You'll probably also need to add oversized fuel injectors. Switching to E85 on this engine isn't just a matter of putting it in the tank.
