circumstaces can this be justified if they feared for their own life?

Using human shield is against international law and since 2005 against Israeli law...So anyone who is not respecting international law should be punish...
Unfortunately this is not the first time the IDF uses human shields,is not the first time they use children as human shields...and this is not acceptable under any circumstances...And of course nothing will happen to them,no one will punish them for that...
In 2005 Israel's Supreme court has banned the use of human shields by the IDF:http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4314898.stm
This doesn't seem to stop the IDF from continuing this practice..

The Israelis are systematically wiping out the Palestinians (with total support from the land of the free) so why would this surprise anyone? How many civilians including kids have the Israeli army shot with automatic weapons? How many old ladies have they run over with tanks? Using human shields is nothing.

Hey dude, any child used as a human shield is wrong and said soldures are cowards. I dont care what any law of any country says. soulders that hide behind children in battle are COWARDS

B'Tselem is an anti-Israeli, far-left group. Their witnesses are children and the ALLEGED incident is being investigated by the IDF.
First, get your facts straight.
Second, post your opinion on the WELL-DOCUMENTED incidents of Muslims using civilians of all ages as human shields.

Did you read the article?
The army (Isreali) already admitted that using humans as sheilds is a violation of doctrine.
So if these soldiers did what is claimed than yes they were wrong and yes they will be disciplined.
Too bad the palestinian militias don't have similar types of rules of engagement.

Perhaps they learned it from the Palestinians.
It may have not been done on purpose, since the Palestinians would not care if they killed an 11 year old girl.
Isrealis know that.
