I will change them Sunday. The CO2 monitor as well.

Buy what exactly?
A smoke detector or a new battery?
That's ironic really.
I have plenty of new batteries at home right now but no smoke detector.
I don't think I've ever had a smoke detector in any of the houses I've lived in.
Isn't that incredibly... lucky or stupid?!?

Ours are tied into the electrical system and don't use batteries. That bothers me, though, so I am calling the hubby and having him buy at least one that runs on batteries, just in case.

No I do not plan on doing that. Thanks for asking though. I hope you enjoy changing the batteries on your smoke detector.

No, but it is a good way to remember to change it twice a year.
