while living the city,
i'd thrown a bottle with name & address,
and received a return letter seven years letter
with the question "u bloody, why didn't u throw another bottle stating ur new address???"

No but how fun and exciting would that be to actually get something back, when youre like 70, and on your death bed, and totally forgot that you did the whole message in a bottle thing when you were in your 20s out in the mid atlantic whale watching!!

No, but I once found a popped balloon with the name and address of someone on it and a request to let them know where you found the balloon. I replied and told him his balloon had travelled about 20 miles (true). I never got a letter back though.

No but that sounds pretty awesome. I have kinda done something different though. Every year at school we let go of balloons with a drug-free messageand our names and school address. Usually me and my best friend tie ours together and then let go of them, but we have never gotten a letter back from anyone.

When I was at this birthday party, we tied notes to balloons and put the balloons in the air, but no one ever wrote me back.
