And why are so many people offended by the idea that he was?

Interesting that the only responses have been homophobic attacks.

I dunno..early thirties never married, hung around twelve other guys all the time wearning a smock and sandals...sounds kinda gay to me...

but as for proof ? well you can't prove a negative first of all. Secondly the 'phobes and wingnuts are allways offended if you say anything even remotely interesting about jesus...thats just a given.

I think it would be a real kick to the xtian population if JC turned out to be gay and dark skinned like the people who actually lived in the area.
To the people who were offended and said he couldn't be gay --- how the hell would you know!!!!!!!! The history of that time oeriod was written many years after the 'fact'. It's all heresay. How can you 'know' something about someone ou never met?

i am with ya all the way... I dont know.. I have always wondered the same thing... I mean he never had a woman that he liked... And i dont know why every one thinks that gays are against things like this... But there is no proof.... I wish i knew.... But i think that jesus never existed... I mean there is no proof that adam and eve were the first humans on earth, but i dont believe we evolved from apes... Its a mystery....

True, there's no biblical record that Jesus married. However, there's also no biblical record that he was gay, either.

Honestly, you can thank the Catholic church for the lack of record. I personally believe that "The DeVinci Code" has a LOT of truth to it. I think he actually DID get married and leave the responsibility of furthering his work was left to Mary Magdolin. However, with the men being in power, they wanted to keep it that way, so they covered it up.

Either way, I don't think he was gay. Happy, maybe, but not homosexual.

I don't believe that. I am not against gays at all, but I don't believe for one second that Jesus was gay. Sorry. Have a good day.

im not gonna be mean. no there isnt much proof, since he never really supposedly showed interest in anyone. and i dont mean to be rude, but the fact that you asked this question really supports all the mean stereotypes that gays put up with. so, just ask carefully next time.

Dude... there's not even definitive proof that Jesus existed (historical accounts aren't proof, as anyone can write anything down). Much less of his sexual orientation.

Jesus is considered to be the perfect son of God, therefore incapable of performing an abomination like sodomy..
