It does for some people, but there are similar treatments available at a drug store. This is a link to an expose from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation about Proactive: http://www.cbc.ca/streetcents/archives/guide/2001/01/s02-01.html

I never really had bad acne but I decided to get it just because I had the occasional bump or pimple. At first my face was glowing I got so many compliments but after awhile that effect wore off and my skin went back to normal in my opinion dont waste your money.

i used pro-active for a year and it didn't work as well as i thought is should...first it took almost 3 months before i started to see results...and then my face got clear, but after a while my skin got use to it and my face broke out worse than before...so i went to a drug store and picked up some biore which is an over-the-counter product and i saw results within 2 weeks...also i went to my doctor and he pescribed me Tetracycline and i use both everyday and i haven't broken out since...so to answer your question, dont even bother with pro-active because it costs way too much money to have to wait that long just to see results...just get a good face wash at the drug store or go to your doctor...don't waste your money on pro-active.

it did for my step sister who had acne terribly bad.. it works for my boyfriend who just started using about a month ago.. his skin had a medium amount of pimples.. and it works for me.. when i actually take the time to use it.. i have good skin so i don't have to use it that much. i think it's worth a try and maybe it doesn't work for everyone from what i've heard but for all the people i know that have used it.. it works.

yes. but so would any other product with the same active ingredients.
the cleanser has 2.5% benzoyl peroxide
the astringent is 2.5% salicylic acid
and the lotion has 2.5% benzoyl peroxide
you can find products just like them, and probably cheaper at a drugstore/walmart/target

Its different for every person but it works on me!
It kinda dried out my skin at first but as long as you use it with a separte face moisturizer (I love clinique's moisture surge) you're good to go.
