LOL - I have 2 or 3 drops of Irish blood somewhere. I can let you have a drop.
St Patrick was un-sainted, because he was probably not even Roman Catholic! He did not submit to the Pope's authority.
Anybody can celebrate St Patrick's day if they feel like it - even a Muslim, a Hindu, or an atheist!
1. Because it's a fun holiday
2. Because you might admire the man, whether you shared his religious beliefs or not.
In any case, I don't think anyone could prevent you from celebrating St Pat's.
Top of the mornin' to you!

Speaking for the Irish, no, absolutely not. You should spend the entire day hidden in a pantry behind cans of tomato soup. Of course you can celebrate St. Pat's. Anyone can. Enjoy a good beer or ale, some nice corned beef on rye and some good music. Catholism has nothing to do with being Irish, it's a religion, and not all the Irish are Catholic. Happy St. Patrick's Day to you.

course you can - most english people celebrate st patricks day, and most bars clubs and pubs have a special st patricks day thing going on - in the uk st patricks day is celebrated more so than St Georges day,he being the patron saint of england, sadly most people dont even know what day that falls on - WHICH IS APRIL 23rd this year....

You dont really need to be anything you mention to celebrate it - have fun - you can always celebrate st george too - more excuses for a party

you can celebrate whatever you want to celebrate... 80% of the people who celebrate on st patty's day just do so to have fun, not to 'honor' anyone

Whatever you want to celebrate - do it God's way, not religious nor the world's way.
