War lovers? I guess it is evident where you are coming from right at the outset.
First of all, I don't believe that anyone has ever said that the military is a Republican Institution. I have participated in many post where liberal bomb throwers attempt to bait Republican's by calling them "chicken hawks" and complaining that they aren't over in Iraq fighting. Republican's quickly point out that, in the last two national elections, the service men and women have voted overwhelmingly Republican. Thus, there is a disproportionate amount Republican's fighting in the war.
Secondly, you seem to be laboring under the misconception that there is a Democratic America and a Republican America where you can opt to pay for what you support and opt out of what you oppose.
If that were the case, I would be deducting a significant amount of money from my taxes each year. The tax dollars that I contribute that go to fund abortions all across the country.
Is that what you are advocating? If so, I doubt that Nancy and the boy's would agree with you!
Like it or not...we are all in this together.
But thanks for sharing.

The majority of the military is conservative and republican.
They also protect the rights of every American including Democrats and liberals. They ask nothing in return, they just would appreciate support and a very small paycheck. Of course if you want your tax money back you can always short the government on your taxes to counter your percentage of the military budget. Then I am sure someone will eventually show up to take those rights away that the military is here to defend.

Your comments are divisive. Republicans are not war lovers. Please try to figure out what your question was and why you asked it. Give careful thought to what is actually happening in the world today and you might come up with some good questions. I am thinking you are a liberal so I won't expect you to have any good answers.

I haven't noticed this. I have seen Liberals on here constantly, ranting about "Bush's war." And I have seen Liberals on here constantly telling Republicans to join the military (as if we aren't the majority there already). And I have seen the Liberals doing a lot of name-calling.

Ironic, Repupublicans want to control their tax dollar (what little they pay)! They don't want to support the military ( who are usually fighting wars for resources or land) or people, just their pocketbooks!
They certainly do not practice any religious philosophy!
“Then the King will say to those on the right, `Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.' Then these righteous ones will reply, `Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison, and visit you?' And the King will tell them, `I assure you, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!'” (Matthew 25:34-40).
They seem to have an affinity to crooks!
