I would find that hard to believe, aren't they competitors?

it is possible .

mitsubishi made engines for dodge and they made them for hyundai when they first started in 1986 with the excel and later with the tiburon and sonata.
so anything is possible. oh yeah my 93 ford sho had a yamaha engine in it.
