I think it's fine, they are celebrating the fact of belonging to their particular country. I don't do it myself, but then again we Canadians are not as "in your face" a bout our patriotism as Americans tend to be. Although whenever there has been a separatist referendum in Quebec, you would see a whole lot of Quebec flags, or Canadian flags in people's lawns, and in many lawns you would see both flags. They were really making a political statement.

alot of americans have it because they love there country so much. we don't have many flags hanging up here in England. prehaps we are a small country and don't show off as much.
