I'm asking this question in this section, since I would love to see the responses from my friends in LGBT section.
I was drivning today and I heard the song Anyway by Martina McBride, and I started crying, like I do everytime I hear it. Are there any songs that do that to you? I have about 3 that still do that to me, and I have to either change the radio station or pull off the road so I can see.

Berh, classical can be VERY emotional, so I can understand how classical can make you feel that way!

Kedar, I can see how that song can create that! I like James Blunt, and that song just makes me like him more!

Indy T -- Annie Lennox really makes her voice known in that one! Not a big fan of LOTR though.

Thanks everyone for your posts. Those are all pretty good songs. Going to have a hard time picking best answer here. FYI though, it probably won't be Queen Olga!

I'm an odd duck because the "song" that gets me going are the two final movements of Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition: Hut of the Baba Yaga and The Great Gate of Kiev.
That's probably not what you meant...but for me classical music is pure and it moves my soul, yes even to the point of crying.

I can never keep from tearing up when I hear the Verve Pipe's "Freshmen". The music is so gorgeous, and that one line "Guilt-stricken sobbing with my head on the floor" gets me every time. I've never heard anything so intense and immediately evocative.

Angel. I don't know who sings it, I think it's Mellisa Ethridge, but I'm not sure. I just love it. It hits home.
In the arms of an angel...may you find some comfort here. That always makes me cry, every time I hear it.

The Dance (Garth Brooks), boy that is a powerful one and it gets me every time. A tear is slowly trickling down my face as we speak. Ha. Seriously though, that is a good and touching song.

SEVERAL....
The most recent was Judy Collins "I can't cry hard enough", which she wrote about her son's suicide. Some male country band did a cover of it for Brokeback.
