You're the owner of the Detroit Falcons (Today Red Wings), and you are changing the team name from Falcons to something. Instead of Red Wings what would you call them?
Just curious.

It's questions like these that make me happy that they didn't change the name to something automobile cliche like the minor league teams in the area like the Motor City Mechanics and the former Saginaw Wheels and Gears.

There were a lot of Algonquian Indians in Michigan, so an indian name might have been appropriate, although I get irritated about that as well - "Sorry we wiped out your homeland and destroyed your lives, here, have an NHL team in Chicago." Gee thanks!

Maybe The Lakers, which would have beat the now LA Lakers to the name by about 15 years. Interestingly that franchise actually started in Michigan. I like the Red Wings name and logo though, I don't think I'd want to mess with it even if I had the chance.
