I realize you don't have the money but these are not a friendly engine to work on. You have to have a special tool that removes the water pump from its housing. The water pump is located on the driver's side of the engine under a cover. It is driven by a small belt that operates off the cam. You need to remove the belt from the tensioner, remove the tensioner and remove the belt. The water pump housing must be removed from the engine. You have to use a special tool to turn the water pump and remove it from the housing. You have to reverse the procedure to install and hope like hell that the gasket doesn't leak.

What I have said is stated a lot easier than what it actually takes to do this job. Like I said, it is not a friendly engine to work on.

Good luck.

Drain the coolant system, remove the fan belt(s), remove the hoses and disconnect (unbolt) the water pump from the face of the motor, remove the fan as well, if required.

(Watch out for the thermostat housing, if that is required, as they tend to break easily.)

Safety First! so Be careful!

Ask friends and family to rec. a repair shop you can trust. Then trust them to do a good job, remember their rep. depends on it. A car for certain, a Caddy is a sophisticated machine with hundreds and if not thousands of moving parts and computers. I rec. you take it to a Pro. unless you are extremely confidant you could perform this repair.
