I can't say if it's illegal or not but, I will say that flipping off someone is the first step in ROAD RAGE. You never know who might pull out a pistol and take a shot at you. The best thing to do is report someone who is speeding through a school zone.

While going through Jersey, I saw a little old lady driving a Mercedes flipping off another driver so I guess in Jersey it's legal and very often seen.

Only if they make a complaint and then it could come under some law like public nuisance or something like that... highly unlikely it'd go through though, especially if you are protesting to speeders in school zones.... more interesting approach than speed cameras at any rate :o)

Naw, it's not any more illegal than it is when you're walking down the street. Just try to stay focused on the road, and a more practical and effective way to get their attention is to HONK at them.

No, but it is not particularly smart either, not with the way people commit road rage these days. You could just write their license plate number down and call the police station and report them. you call enough times, the police will start sitting at that school zone I guarantee it.

No, it's not illegal, but not too bright, either, as it could start an ugly confrontation that might result in an accident. Ignore those who are scofflaws and be the mature individual. Flipping people off is ANYTHING but mature.

No, but what you should do instead, is take down their license number, call the police and report them before they injure a student.

no, it is not illegal. However you should be careful. Someone may turn around and hurt you or worse for doing that.
