If I were a slave owning member of the southern aristocracy I would have done whatever it took to keep my plantation productive. I would have placed a high value on female slaves for their ability to produce more strong backs for the hard field work and day to day operations of the plantation. I would have feared the growing abolitionist movement in the north and would have used the money i made on the backs of slave labor to protect my way of life and my families future prosperity. I would have sponsored violence and harsh punishment to create fear within the slave population as a means of control, and would have been a strong and vocal proponent of the fugitive slave acts. I would have done whatever it took to keep the few land owning blacks of voting age from the polls and would have sponsored groups like the K.K.K. to help maintain my control in the region. I would have feared the education of slaves because an educated slave was a danger to the order and prosperity of my plantation and my way of life. I would have done whatever it took to spread slavery into the new territories in the west in order to have a majority hold on congress and its power to protect my way of life.
Oops wrong time period, but some of these things would have still applied, so take what you need and disregard the rest.
(This is not what I personally would have done, this is what actually happened.)

vendors of smaller communities of slaves used their first call. maximum did no longer have final names till at last set unfastened. larger plantation or farms vendors had handlers or "slave drivers" and extremely corresponding to the militia, the owner commanded the motive force to "restoration" a difficulty and he ordered the slaves around. The different than in this replaced into the homestead slaves, who many times glided by ability of the 1st call or nickname.

I, personally, would free my slaves--but if that were impossible (because some other slave owner would just take them anyway), I would pay them, and give them breaks and food.
Real slave owners made their slaves work all kinds of hours in all kinds of weather. They made them live in places like barns, etc. They received no money or other compensation for all of their hard work. They received no decent food...

What kind of school would ask you to do that kind of project? It's one thing to study the American history of how slavery was, but this seems to be a little too much and some people might find it offensive.

what time era would you be referring to? If I were a slave owner then or now I would certainly free them, its not right and that was probably half the reason why we have racial decrimation today!!!!

It is ridiculous to judge the people of the past from the viewpoint of the future.

I would make my super hot male slave do EVERYTHING i felt like at the moment, then i would make him shop online with me...and idk. I would be a "kind" slave owner, but i would whip him occasionally.
