I do. I do. I was here for the last potential "ice age". we changed alot of things. You don't have aresole cans much anymore. Most don't even know what a carburator is. Nothing in your car was computerized.....there wasn't ethanol... anyone remember Ethyl? Or Premium? There wasn't recycling...we had red dye....lead paint and all the rest. There wasn't emission tests. We could even burn our garbage because there wasn't much of land fills and garbage dumps. We dispenced with inseticides...went to "natural" methods. Health foods, herbal medicine, natural healing.......everyone acts like this is a NEW thing. It's not NEW.....it's as old as the hills!!!!!

We've gone to "energy effecient" methods and all the rest. "Organic" farming..."natural fibers and dyes".

In my own personal life.....we're going into my 3rd time for the 60's. Fashion, dieting, foods, medicine,.......everything. BEEN THERE>>>DONE THAT! So far....there has been nothing NEW. Refurbished.....not new. No "new" MUSIC or styles.....we're going backwards in medicine and a whole lot more. Dummied down is where we were........it's like we were rushed into a peak we really weren't ready for. We can do Lazer gal-bladder operations but more are dying from simple infections.
We can transplant organs....but people are dying from old diseases.
No....there is no "global warming" than isn't a NORMAL flucuation.........it's just a new "excuse" for "normal" changes.

Yes, I think it's a con. The planet is obviously going through a warming cycle but it is more likely to be the result of solar activity than anything else. For thousands of years the Earth has warmed and cooled. What a good wheeze though to give the public a one sided view prior to screwing yet more money out of them.

I am fed up with scientist and their scare stories. The latest advice is to get out in the sun to avoid vitamin D deficiency when, for years they have been telling us to stay out of the sun. First coffee is bad and then it's good, likewise with wine. Eat more oily fish like salmon, they cry, and then warn us that farmed salmon is polluted. Eggs bad, eggs good. They don't appear to have done any hard research but publish the scares anyway. Global warming is just another bandwagon but with the added advantage of extracting yet more of our hard earned money and causing misery by 2 weekly rubbish collections. I wonder how much methane will be sucked into the atmosphere by rotting household waste this summer? Mind how you go.

Yes! But then again I think everything is just a con... they want us to get a higher education just so we will get better jobs and they can tax us more! They want us to be healthier just so we will stop using the NHS and be fit for work to be taxed more! Ooh it's aconspiracy out there... actually I'm not being scarcastic, I do think they just want global warming as a tax reason.
Oh but Daisy is good!

Only the stupid would believe that global warming is a taxation conspiracy.

Global warming is fact. Whether or not it is man made is open to debate, but there has been a steady rise in the Earth's average temperature over the past 50 years, which clearly correlates with atmospheric carbon dioxide levels.

Stupid people want to believe it isn't real, because that doesn't require them to alter their behaviour in any way. It's much easier for the conspiracy theorists to believe a lie than to make any effort to change their behaviour.

If the world isn't getting hotter, then how come all the ice is melting? You can go to the arctic and see it for yourself - if you're suggesting this is a cover up then that's quite some conspiracy. The Earth IS GETTING WARMER, there is absolutely no doubt about this. Whether or not, or to what extent humanity plays in this is the subject of debate, not whether it is happening. In all probability it is a combination of a natural cycle AND increased emmisions of CO2.

What exactly is wrong with making cities have cleaner air and factories have less emmisions? Is reducing cancer-causing particulates in the air a BAD thing in your eyes? Why can't we play it on the safe side and reduce carbon emmissions and wean ourselves off oil - cause it's going to run out, and pretty soon.

I have no idea what the goals of the "Weird" Al Gore's of the world might be, but I'm sure that it has nothing to do with the Earth's climate or our well being. Since the people screaming the loudest about global warming are usually the same people who want to raise taxes, you may be right.

Global warming is definitely happening but I can't quite see where taking more money off us helps. I think they should provide people with alternatives rather than use it as another excuse to keep taking.

international warming is a actuality. although the actual question should be - is guy completely to blame or exacerbating a organic phenomena? Scientologists have shown that at factors in earth's history, long until now guy, the temperature has risen as much as 12 levels in under one hundred years. data of this has been modern-day in drillings from the two ice caps. the challenge for this us of a (uk) is the actuality that we produce under 2% of the worlds finished carbon emmissions and, if the experts are suitable, under 5% of that 2% is by using flying (desire that's clever). the government desires to decrease the united kingdom's output via 50%. An quantity which, even at at present's ranges, the u . s . a . or China can exceed on one especially busy day on precise of their modern-day output. In actual words we are a small island on the fringe of europe whose finished emmissions are a minute element of the universal challenge. a international contract is had to alleviate the challenge and until the super gamers decrease their output the attempt to decrease ours would be of little fee. the different super challenge is the scale of the worlds inhabitants. over the final ice age human beings in basic terms moved South to extra desirable situations.we won't be able to in basic terms up sticks and circulate to greater floor as our ancestors could have performed, there is not the room. under the banner of world warming we've seen the creation of recycling to maintain the planet. A worth reason all of us say. until we see the plastic being transported to China and then decrease back cunningly disguised as much less high priced toys in the community pound save. the place is the carbon saving in that scheme? you would be taxed on each and each flight you're taking to decrease your carbon footprint say the government. jointly as Tony Blair consists of out his Whistlestop Farewell international excursion - I presume he did not swim!! international warming is a international situation. I anticipate each us of a on earth to take part in reducing emmissions. while that occurs then i'm going to gladly do my bit to assist with out being taxed for the privilege. until that factor I anticipate the government to coach what it preaches not artwork on that's time-honored premise of do as we are saying - not as we do.
