You have to feed it, keep it's living space clean, and everything else you're already doing and it will grow. I once knew someone who had a Tomogotchi once, and they couldn't stand it! So having one and being patient and not wanting to take out the batteries because it's so annoying is probably something to keep in mind...

u have to feed it, clean its poop. when the icon on the bottom right corner lights up, it needs attention. when it cries, praise it. when it turns its back on u, praise it. when it wants attention and its well fed and not sick, give it a time-out. a baby needs attention really often. for toddler and up, u can check on it every 30-40 minutes.

set it up to the time it was born and change the date to 1 day more. it should grow up
