I'm a hard-core 'evolutionist' ... but to be fair ...
... You don't use facts to explain evolution. You use evolution to explain facts.
Or more correctly ... I agree with you that the *process* of evolution is an undeniable fact that deserves explanation. By undeniable fact, I mean that it is undeniable that the *process* of evolution (where this is defined to mean "the change over time of a population or species") occurs. The Creationists don't (can't) deny that that process occurs, just that that same process can produce *new* species.
But if by "evolution" you mean the *theory* of evolution (rather than the *process* of evolution), then it is not fair to challenge creationists to explain something they do not believe.
Sorry for arguing their side on this one ... but maybe I just wanted a change. :-)

This question was asked twice, so I am answering it twice. Evolution is the only "scientific" explanation scientists can think of to explain why fossils depict different types of life forms from what exist now. There can be no proof of evolution because you can't go back in time and watch it happen. Small changes within a species are cited as proof, but the extrapolation isn't logical. One example in a biology textbook involes the beak of certain birds getting harder; tell me where the beak originated, and what beakless animal had descendents that evolved a beak.

Trick question. Creationism, or its oxymoronic cousin, clever layout, are no longer in accordance with information. they're in accordance with faith and the easy concept that "each thing is purely too complicated to have got here approximately via coincidence." Believers fail to acknowledge that evolution has taken hundreds of hundreds of thousands of years to produce the existence varieties that exist as we talk. hundreds of thousands of mutations got here approximately alongside the way, and the favorable ones accepted that applicable to pass better genetics directly to its offspring, on a similar time as detrimental mutations led to an early loss of life for people who possessed it.

Creation and it's derivative intelligent design don't use science. They are faith based and need no proof. Therefore they do not need to explain evolution, it is simply wrong and to think otherwise is to damn your eternal soul.
