Okay. Lately I can't get comfortable when I go to sleep. Not at all. This isn't a minor irritation, it is extreme discomfort. It is keeping me awake for hours. I swear I have tried everything.
And nothing has changed about my bed etc...
So what could all of the sudden cause such extreme comfort?

For me usually it means my mattress is old and too soft. If you can’t fall asleep you can try.

- Turning the mattress over my family used to always do this when we got a new mattress every 1 or 2 months. It keeps it hard and the harder it is the better you sleep and less back pain.

- Swap pillows I had a sleeping problem and I just changed the pillows I used I have 4. All i did was take the 2 I did not use and sleep on them for a while worked for me.

- Buy new pillows but not too flat or puffy.

- Sleep in a colder room if you are in a area with warm to hot weather. (This work for me :) )

- Sleep in warm / room temperature if you are in a area with cold weather.

- Don’t watch exciting TV or Movies 30 min. before sleeping, calm down before going to sleep don’t exercise 30 min to 1 hour before sleep. Calm down by reading a book or just relaxing. What I used to do is lay in bed and draw for a while the longer I was laying down the more sleepy I got.

- Turn off or block and light(s) in your room, personally lights annoy me when I sleep and cause me to wake up.

- Before going to sleep think about something positive like a vacation, but don’t get too excited :).

- Drink some warm milk or hot coco, I don’t like drinking plain milk before sleeping so I get some nestle hot coco but only if its not that warm outside. I have read that Milk can calm you down and get you sleepy.

- Relax if you have too much stress you wont be able to fall asleep.

These are all the things that I have done and they have helped me, before sleeping try finding something calm that you love to do.

Hope this helps :)

I know exactly what your going through.Has your life become a lot more stressful lately.Maybe you cant fall asleep because you keep thinking about an exam, job, ect.Any light, even from an alarm clock can prevent you from going to sleep. If your room is cluttered when you go to bed that also makes it harded to go to sleep.Or maybe your just restless.

Too much computer time? Really, I'm not joking. Maybe you should have your back checked out.
