ok haw many games do you have down loaded on your computer? if you have all the games on a window's 95 your screwed .... the thing is if your going to go sim crazy (witch i have done) and down load all the sim's on your computer and then get the internet you have to even out the memory you use the thing is unless you have a supper computer you don't want to down load alot.... first i got practicly all the 1 sim games then got the internet and it goes really slow some times but i had to get ride of some sim games so it woldn't go so slow ok so i didn't but it did take the messinger's... the reson the thing's frezing when your trying to make a family is becuse once you make on it saves and that takes up more memory you probly took a long time reading this so if you need any more info on this lolo_long@sbcglobal.net is where i'm at...

Have you tried going into a lot that already has a family? If that doesn't work, then you can try to un-install and re-install them. A lot of times that fixes the problem.
