I think that is WAY too broad a question. Ballet is filled with millions of different moves and it's hard to pick just one that is the most important. It depends on what your doing. Having good technique is the most important thing, then you can do any move you want!

I don't think it matters what the most important move is unless you have the correct posture and know how to execute it properly. Because if you don't have them, you'll hurt yourself and look like a fool. Imagine trying to turn a pirouette with your hip up, your knee relaxed and your foot not pointed...you'd look stupid.

I agree, the most important step is a plie, although i also believe a tondue is Extremely important as well, your choice

in ballet, the most important beginning step is plie, but i love leaps and turns!!

hmmm. in ballet... tour jete' its like a leap in the air thing...and chasse in jazz ....ballet shannee turns and...perawets....(srry idk hw to spell it...)lol hope tht helps
