I'm not by any means trying to persuade you in one way or another, but i have a few friend that have sony vaio laptops and they don't have any major issues with them but like all Sony products they are WAY WAY WAY over priced. you can get twice the computer for half the money by going to Dell or Hp or Compact..and if you have the money to spend then do yourself a favor and get an Apple computer they are truely the best computers on the face of the planet.I have a Dell Inspiron 9400 with core 2duo processor and it's a 17 inch laptop and it's a great machine..i've had it for almost 6 months now and not ever so much as a flicker of a problem with it..i know alot of people who have Dell computers and i don't know many people who have problems with them

Excellent units with above average graphics cards & all Sony Vaio's use only top level LCD glass for the screens (there are different tiers of quality for LCD .... 1, 2, 3 ... Sony only uses level 1)

A little pricey ... but well equipped units.

Bought 1 a month ago, no regrets at all. Price is a bit high but it was worth it. Check out their latest desktop that looks like a laptop, selling for only S$3,099.

Everybody has one these days because James Bond had one. They seem to think that their crappy £500 one is the same he had. It's not. A fair number of them have fingerprint-ID aswell, which is useless for the everyday man. They just have it to make them look cool.

I have one and although I can only compare it to my desktop it's great. Sound's good, it's a reasonable speed and it's not *too* heavy if you need to carry it around.
