I just hired her and she seems to be working out well. But I get funny looks from my customers and one guy just left the shop. My wife doesn't like it at all and keeps finding fault with her. I got a problem on my hands.

If she knows what she's doing. There's already plenty of dumbsh*ts in the business that only know how to take the money while butchering the car.

I work in the garage of a Ford dealership and I would have no problem letting a female workon my car.Why would I?
Aside from some physical things I`m sure a womens brain can solve car related problems just the same.

What does it matter if it's a woman or a man. Who ever is giving funny looks should wake up and see that times have changed and stop seeing woman as sex toys.

As for your wife, she's probably insecure because she knows girls that do cars fit in quite nicely with guys in general.

Yeah, if she knew more than me, why not? Since when did exterior gonads make a better mechanic? What do you think women did back in the day when their man was gone? They did everything themselves (everything). That's why you can still see retro posters of women doing mechanic works from war time.

Your question perplexes me a little, but my answer is yes, assuming she was qualified, but the same assumption goes for a man.
