You may be able to remove it by freezing it. Cover it with ice for 20 to 30 minutes then try scraping it off. Good luck.

Use WD-40...no kidding! This stuff has 101 amazing uses, and getting old gum out of a natural fiber rug would be just one of them. Try it.

I have found that ice is a very good way of removing gum from anything. Rub the ice on the gum, the gum becomes hard and then you are able to remove the gum. Good luck.

you can freeze it out . But I´m 100% sure you´ll be left with a mark. So what you do is take the white of one egg and whip it up , lay the egg white on top off the mark for 10 min´s then wash the carpet . You can use a little of your own hair shampoo this works just as good as carpet shampoo. Rinse well and dry in natural air

Peanut butter does the trick! (It makes the gum separate itself). It will get gum out of the rug or even out of your hair or bottom of a shoe. Good luck to you - I hope you try it and see.

If freezing is impractical, try "Goo Gone." It is available at most hardware and paint stores. It will take the stickiness out of the gum and make it easy to clean.

I have always removed gum with nail polish remover. It seems to be a solvent.
