He was an assistant to the US President. HELL no he should not be pardoned for leaking an undercover CIA undercover Op because they didn't like her husbands conclusion that Iraq had no "yellow cake" from the Niger as had been used by the administration!

If Libby was a democrat, we wouldn't even be having this discussion.
Consider Sandy Berger. Had Libby done what he admittedly did in terms of stealing and destroying classified documents, would the Democrat's let him go with a fine and community service?

He hasn't been pardoned, I would not be surprised if he is when Bush reaches his last few days in office. Is it political ?yes. Did Clinton do it ? yes. Will the next president have a list of loyalist that get pardoned ? yes.

Bush would probably not pardon Libby but then if Libby was a Democrat he probably wouldn't need to be pardoned.

Just because Clinton pardoned criminals, doesn't mean Bush will. I'm certain that they will let the appeals process go through first anyway, before making such a decision.

Its always political when a Republican gets pardoned. But when Sandy Berger steals classified information, destroys it and then lies about it for Bill Clinton but only gets a slap on the hand, thats ok.

If he was a victim of an over-zealous partisan witch-hunt, I think he'd want to pardon him no matter the party. But Bush hasn't pardoned Libby ... yet, anyways.
