He was an assistant to the US President. HELL no he should not be pardoned for leaking an undercover CIA undercover Op because they didn't like her husbands conclusion that Iraq had no "yellow cake" from the Niger as had been used by the administration!
He was a DEMOCRAT! Why do lie? Libby became part of a network of neo-conservatives who many know as the 'Vulcans' – Mr. Bush's core national security team."[14] In 1997 Libby became a founding member of the Project for the New American Century, and, while he was still a partner at Dechert Price, and Rhoads, he joined Wolfowitz, William Kristol, Robert Kagan, and others in writing its 2000 report entitled, "Rebuilding America's Defenses: Strategy, Forces, and Resources for a New Century".[
He was no Democrat!
Actually, he should be shot!
"Revealing my wife Valerie's secret CIA identity was very wrong and harmful to our nation," Wilson said. "I feel that my family was attacked for my speaking the truth about the events that led our country to war."--Wilson CNN
Someone leaks an undercover CIA operatives name to a reporter and it is a witch hunt? Did you read the 22 page indictment and the verdict?
You shouldn't be throwing stones! Wasn't Newt Gingrich having an affair at the time he was tring to get Clinton impeached for one he had before he was even elected? The answer is YES!

If Libby was a democrat, we wouldn't even be having this discussion.
Consider Sandy Berger. Had Libby done what he admittedly did in terms of stealing and destroying classified documents, would the Democrat's let him go with a fine and community service?
I think not.

He hasn't been pardoned, I would not be surprised if he is when Bush reaches his last few days in office. Is it political ?yes. Did Clinton do it ? yes. Will the next president have a list of loyalist that get pardoned ? yes.

Typical "I Hate Bush Premise" question. You should ask first did Clinton pardon (with the world record for presidential pardons) any Republicans. So is that political or what?

you're appropriate. This bunch is worse. sure, invoice Clinton did a no-no with Monica Lewinsky and mendacity approximately it. yet optimal of presidents till at last now him did an comparable form of stuff it only wasn't open to the same old public as a results of actuality the media did no longer have such an open settlement. Bush's cupboard individuals, and so forth. are thoroughly thiefs and an embarrassment to the rustic.

Bush would probably not pardon Libby but then if Libby was a Democrat he probably wouldn't need to be pardoned.

Just because Clinton pardoned criminals, doesn't mean Bush will. I'm certain that they will let the appeals process go through first anyway, before making such a decision.

Its always political when a Republican gets pardoned. But when Sandy Berger steals classified information, destroys it and then lies about it for Bill Clinton but only gets a slap on the hand, thats ok.

If he was a victim of an over-zealous partisan witch-hunt, I think he'd want to pardon him no matter the party. But Bush hasn't pardoned Libby ... yet, anyways.

If Libby was a Democrat, he'd never have had to defend himself, let alone been found guilty.
