Dear Sunshine,
You are already doing it.
* You are expressing your grief and shock.
* You embrace Amy's memory and be grateful for your own life, as you are doing.
Speak to others that have loved Amy as well. Take that time to share your pictures, memories, laugh, and cry.
*If you want to memorialize her memory, go to a parks department in your area and see if you can plant a tree. Not only will you memorialize her memory, you will also contribute to the environment.
*You can also get together with friends from your old high school and create a grant for graduating high school students that are heading towards a career that Amy had.
I hope this helps your griefing process~
Another little thing to leave with you-
I got into severe car accident, I didn't feel any pain because my body went into shock. I was told that I didnt have any vital signs. It was the recover that was excruciating.

I'm sorry to hear your bad news. I would let yourself grieve naturally, cry as much as you need to. I would also try and celebrate her life get your old photos out and remember the good old days. I know this can feel like a painful reminder of what you have lost but it can be a healthy way of celebrating the life of someone who has now passed.
Listen to your favourite music, count your blessings and use it as a reminder to make the most of every day and every opportunity.

You are in a state of shock right now and this is normal. You need to have time to grieve and to process everything. Then pay your respects to the family and try to be supportive as much as you can without neglecting your own family. This is a hard thing to endure. I graduated from small school and small class and we have lost many from our class and each time it is very, very hard on all of us. God bless.

I self parent. I ask myself what is it that you need and then I provide it. Sometimes, I just need to cry other times I need to be pampered, other times I need to pray. It just depends on what I need to do help me get through the moment.

Cry as much as you need to cry. Take out all the pain. You'll be okay.
