I say no, and think he should be traded or leave NY when his contract is up. He is a talent being wasted with the Jets. He is too undersized and his D-line can't occupy blockers to let him roam free and make plays. His speed and instincts are better suited for the 4-3 where he can pursue the ball sideline to sideline without getting stuck to big bodies. what do you guys think?

He is the kind of player that the jets have to adapt to. Mangene should adjust his Defensive system to accomidate him until he adds enough strength and weight to anchor a 3-4, or he could even switch to be an explosive out-side linebacker. I don't think a player of that calibre could be trade so easily in a building program.

I think that a pro should be able to play in any defensive scheme. So yes Vilma can play in 3-4, go to the PATS!!

he'll be good in any system. it was the jets first year in a 3-4 defense. watch him develop into it. plus he is the leader of the jets defense - he aint gonna be traded nowhere.

Well I think he is a great player first of all, but I know he won't have a chance to go to the panthers but I would like to see him and Dan Morgan together if he can get stop getting concussions.
