my friends dont want me to date him because they say he isn't a good guy and they have known him since 7th grade. but he is really nice and sweet to me so i have no probelem with him. and i have been behind them 100% when they have dated guys that i don't like. but they won't leave me alone about this one so what should i do if you have any advice about it please help me out.

I think this should be over on the single and dating category.This is marriage and divorce. If you do date him and get married then we all look forward to hearing from you in the future here.

Oh, I am going through the same thing right now. Well, ask yourself, who's going to date him? You or your friends? You should only focus on what makes you happy, ya know? If that's the type of person he puts on the surface and you like him, then it really doesn't matter what they say, they are not the ones dating him. I think you should go with WHAT YOU FEEL!!!! NOT WHAT YOU HEAR!!!!!

Hie Ms Sarah. Well everyone has their own rights to see and to go out with but the besat way go oout with him and try to find out more about him. Don't hear rumors things from your friends and they might say all soughts of things but if you saw this guy and he is sweet try to go out and have a great time with him. Don't let friends come between someone u care about if its real special. The ultimate choice is in your heart. If u want this badly date him . U may never know it could have been a match made in heaven, .but you listened to your friends...If it doesn't work out u have noone to blame but yourself. ! of lifes lessons. Your true friend, knowing how you felt, will not tell you I told u so... b/c they know how u cared.

Try dating him, but take it slow, to make sure you can really find out what kind of a guy he is. If he's really a good guy, then go ahead and move on in the relationship. But if he turns out to be a bad guy, if you take it slow, it will be easier to end things with him.

Put your friends on the backburner and pursue your dreams and being he is good to you and bad to them makes a difference cause you like him. Some friends can be controlling and jealous and liars so follow your own heart.

girl from experience, dont date someone that your friends dont like. because they will be mad at you. i dated a guy and lost friends over him because they didnt like him. so i got rid of him for my friends. (he wasnt worth losing friends over anyways)
so ask yourself, do you want to chance losing your friends (who by the way prolly have a good reason not to like him if they have known him that long). just think this through before you make a decision.

maybe you may what to check around from the guys, his friends, family and pastor (if he goes to church) and asked around the police station if you really what to know about him. but more important, what does your heart say? is there any doubt ? is there any questions inside your heart about him that can't be answered. go on a double date until you learn more about him. from here you should get a better idea of who he is. stay safe

Do they have any experience of him not being a "good guy"? Go for it for now but just be careful and don't be too proud to admit they're right if anything bad happens. They will still be your friend!

If you like him date him . Sometimes friends may be jealous and really like him themselves. if you want to date someone you don't have to have friends behind you , they have their life to live and you have yours. Tell them to but out that you'll date whom and when you want and they can do the same.
