He only has to pay if the following are true. Keep in mind that it doesn't matter if you can do it all on your own, because certainly, you didn't conceive the child on your own. So, getting to the answer of your question... Does your child require or need on a daily basis:
FOOD, SHELTER, CLOTHING, MEDICAL COVERAGE, SHOES, BATHS, EDUCATION,CONSIDERATION, LOVE AND SECURITY?
If the answer to all of the above is no, then he doesn't have to pay. If you want to know if it has to be enforced by the courts, well that's up to the child's father, isn't it? If he has an 'under the table' paying job, it still doesn't matter. Either he pays, or he goes to jail. It's as simple as that.

He is obligated to pay support.. But.. Under the table payments means that there are not records.. No records means that the court can not legally take money from his pay.. You might want to come to an understanding with him.

Yes he will and since he is working under the table the IRS will go after him for back taxes as well as his employer for not reporting his wages. My advice...make a call to the IRS if you know where he is working and have proof he is being paid under the table...hopefully you have his social security number as well.

yes; coincidentally the girl I got pregnant had a baby under the table and I am still paying support. (the baby was actually conceived on the table). She is a beautiful baby and the table was very strong as well.

I didn't think it was legal to work under the table. he would have to pay taxes on the money he earns. He can get into ALOT of trouble. But yeah, he should still pay.

Technically he doesn't because his income can't be traced...if you want to make sure you get child support from him, try to make an informal arrangement with him first. If not, report his under-the-table transactions...I think in this situation you have the upper hand, my dear. Good luck, I hope he will cooperate with you on this!

Of course. The proper thing is if he is not paying your support properly, you report him about the work situation and not paying taxes, etc., and then he will really pay -- in the other kind of courts.

yes he would have to pay, but if i were you, i'd talk to him about it. Tell him that you want him to pay $$$ in child support or you will take him to the IRS. I'm sure he'd rather pay child support than to get in trouble and have to pay taxes and even possibly get "fired".
good luck!

Yes he still has to pay child support. In the future have higher standards in the men you are with. Unfortunately you have now picked this looser to be your child's father.

Good luck!
