It is my downfall far too much. I don't know how to lighten up enough to let others do things they want to do them. It always has to be my way or no way at all. It hurts to know I am like that, and I know it bothers those around me, so I am trying really hard to leave well enough alone.

Yes. Being the only woman in a male dominated profession and working harder thn most of the men just to keep my self feeling secure in the workplace only got the attention of the Human resources manager-a male-and he must have felt threatened because he went out of his way to accumulate dirt om me and bully me out of the buisness while the boys could say whatever slang they wanted to to me. But I am in a better place now.

Yes, because when you think you are tough and invincible about certain situations and it turns out that you are wrong, the downfall hurts more.

You bet your butt it has.

One of my strengths is concern for the safety of others. I recently was suspected of a crime because I went the extra mile trying to get help for someone many of us thought was at risk for self injury or worse.

Honesty..yep. People often don't want to hear the truth and although I KNOW that I still give it to them anyway.
Sense of humor...yep.Nothing offends me, so why don't other people lighten up, too?
Assertiveness...sure. An assertive woman is often called a b***h. Unfair, but true.

Yes, actually. But more often my strength is when I'm up high and mighty.

Constantly. I am ALWAYS honest. Unnecessarily so. I always tell people exactly what's on my mind. It's what makes me me. It also explains why I'm so vastly unpopular. Ha ha ha.
