Why not just buy a more efficent car?

people like to complain....Human nature, and yes if everyone had cars that were more efficent then the price of gas would go down because the demand would go down.

I live in suburban America and it is my experience that most SUV drivers are the head of large families (4+kids). Are there more "efficient" cars out there that can accommodate a large family? Figure, sitting at least 6 comfortably? Those who complain probably did not NEED the large vehicle in the first place.

Same reason large families complain about the rising cost of meat and milk and bread. I have a family of 7 and an SUV is my only option unless you suggest my kids Run behind my Prius, like Chevy Chase's Dog in National Lampoon Vacation

Because maybe we want our families to be protected if involved in an accident versus being crushed to death in a Yugo. My wife drives a Chevy Tahoe and I drive a 3/4 Ton Dodge Cummins Diesel.
We do not complain about the price of gas because we are rich Republicans who have jobs and can afford to pay for fuel with our tax breaks for the rich.

Unrelated issues.
Regardless of my choice of vehicle, the price of gas is ridiculously high. And to follow your thinking, I suppose only those who are driving 'responsible' cars are allowed to complain? You might want to do a quick check on which country it is you live in...in the US, I believe there is still the right to make and spend as much money as you wish, and also the right to free speech.

it doesn't matter what kind of car a person drives. When people are barely making it living from pay check to pay check, (except for the rich) of course, it tends to piss people off when the oil companies are profitting from the misery they are causing. There again if I was profitting 5 billion in a quarter, I'd be happy to, and say screw the public, just like we are being done to now!!!
