The home team traditionally wears the darker colors. The exceptions to rule are the warm weather teams such as Miami, Houston, Tampa Bay, Dallas, Arizona, Jacksonville and for some strange reason the Redskins get in on the act too.

The Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, and Miami Dolphins wear white jerseys for home games. I believe all the other teams wear dark jerseys at home. That is why you rarely see these 3 teams in their dark jerseys.

The home team wears the dark jerseys. However, the Miami Dolphins wear their white jerseys at home games because they think it helps keep them cool. The other team will have to where dark jerseys when playing in Miami.

Traditionally the home team wears their dark jersey, however, the decision is up to the home team and they can decide to wear their light jerseys if they wish but they must inform the visiting team far enough in advance.

The Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins traditionally wear white at home to keep them cool because of course, darker colours absorb more light and turn it into heat.
The Dolphins usually never have a chance to wear their teal because the teams in their division or the other teams they play on the road wear dark jerseys to keep warm or because they traditionally do. Only in night games do you see the Fish in teal.
The Cowboys usually only wear the blue ones with the star on the sleeves on Thanksgiving or if another team is wearing white on that day,
The Redskins I dunno, but they sometimes where their red jerseys to embarrass the Cowboys by making them wear their aforementioned, ugly looking blue jerseys that the idiots at Rbk designed.

It depends on the team. In the NFL there are so many alternate jerseys that it just depends. The Cowboys wear white at home. The Bears on the other hand wear the traditional navy blue at home. Usually the home team determines the color and the opponent wears the opposite (light/dark).
In college, the rule is that the home team wears their dark jerseys and the away team wears white/light (NCAA Bylaw 12.5.4 states that the home teams wear dark jerseys and the visiting team wears white). I know that Louisville wears red at home and also wore all black against West Virginia in their "Black-Out" game at home. They wear white on the road. Kentucky wears blue at home and white on the road. Florida also wears blue at home and white on the road.

And naturally, being capable to look at all of the New Jersey Nets vs Boston Celtics Games and Other New Jersey Nets vs Boston Celtics Video games is awesome - but why develop a item that only utilizes satellite Indicators for just New Jersey Nets vs Boston Celtics game titles? From what I heard, it would be Tougher to build this program With out utilizing all the different satellite alerts

Home team's choice. Usually they will wear dark, but sometimes they wear light for one reason or another. For instance the Steelers played the Texans in Houston. So the Texans chose light, to try to slow down the Steelers by having them wear their Black. That was also when they opened the Dome.
