I have about 30 books I want to sell, mostly technical books. Where is a good place to sell them online?

half.com is a good place to sell books, it is associated with ebay. You can also sell at abesbooks.com or even Amazon. I frequently buy books from all three of these places, but have only sold at half.com and amazon.

Amazon.com is easy to use. You just sign up to sell books, and you search for your specific book, click on it, and then you can compare prices and see what others are selling that book for, and then you can set your price, fill in a bit about the quality of your book, and that's it. You'll get e-mails when you sell something, and you just need to keep some book-size mailing envelopes on hand, and you mail them at the post office, and if you specify "media mail" it will be cheaper. You get a shipping credit in addition to your price for the book, and Amazon charges a small fee, but it's usually less than the shipping credit, so you make a bit extra.

You can set it up to be deposited into your checking account, but after your first sell, you have to wait 14 days before it will be transferred; after that it doesn't take more than a few days.

Good luck!

I purchase most of my books from Amazon. I have purchased some technical books and almost all of my textbooks (chemistry major). So would probably be good place to sell yours.

I would recommend Ebay, but remember that you will probably only get a quarter of what you paid for them in most cases.

Take care to give a good description of them too!
