trying to used external wd hd in leveno t60p it has errors?

when tryning to load driver it says an error accord while trying to load this device....

the specified service does not exisit as an installed service.

please help! it works fine in my desktop
we both have win xp

Using an external hard drive from Western Digital shouldn't require a driver installation. If it's USB hook-up, it's strictly plug-and-play, meaning you just plug it in and it works fine.
