I've heard that they are a "terrorist group" or some kind of "cult". Is this true? How can we trust them? Can someone please show me proof? What have they done? Isn't there some kind of law preventing them from doing such acts? I thought it stood for People for Ethical Treatment of Animals or something! What about the case where the lady who works for PeTa killing animals and throwing them in the dumpster? Is this whole thing some crazy joke?

I try to avoid PETA whenever I can. Ever since I was walking down the street and there was a PETA group protesting the circus that was in town. This guy was with his family and he was wearing a shirt that said something about bass fishing. The PETA people started telling the little daughter(not more than 4 years old) that her father was an evil man and he needed to be killed because he kills fish for fun. I don't care what kind of organization it is, to tell a little girl that her dad is evil and needs to die is unacceptable.

They also do stupid things like but aquarium fish from a pet store and release them into the wild to "free" them. Apparantly they don't realize that by releasing tropical aquarium fish into the Missouri River they are not only condemning the poor fish to freeze to death, they are also putting the entire Missouri Drainage system at risk for diseases that could kill every fish in the entire system.

I can understand wanting the best for the animals, but PETA goes about it all wrong, and kills animals in the process.

In general the objective of PETA and what they is good. But as such you always find people in almost every movement, that take extreme steps based on how they feel. Also generally the media outlets give highlighted focus to those anomalies and make people think it is the only thing that they do.

PETA is no more than a big joke to the public. Their causes are resonable and valid. However, their beliefs are so radical that it makes them look stupid and the reason a majority of people do not take them seriously.

Common sense says they're really messed up. In the Bible it says that man is to be dominant over all the animals of the earth. Peta is trying to turn this the other way around
