origanally purchased it. Is there any way that i can fix this problem, we spent quite a bit of money and i would hate for it to be ruined, please help if you can.

What do you think would happen if you washed your leather coat?? It's the same difference. What you have is what you've got.

Not a whole lot to do now, get some leather or hind oils and creams, it will soften it up a bit. In the future, I might recommend professional cleaning or not getting the hide itself wet. I've mink oiled the leather bindings on my snowshoes, like I said, it works a bit.

Guess your just gonna have to Hate it then..It is leather you know. Well you know now anyway. My advise would be to shop for a new sheep-skin rug.
