Am new here but here goes! I am 35 and me and my husband are desperately trying to conceive. I am on day 22 of my cycle (yes we did it every other day from days 9 to 16) and for the last couple of days have felt a bit queasy but not actually sick. also have had funny taste in my mouth! I'm not sure if its just wishful thinking or if i could be in really early stages of pregnancy? anyone else had really early symptoms that resulted in a much wanted pregnancy? all answers most welcome, thanx xx

It's too early for you to be having symptoms, sorry... You won't have symptoms before implantation, which would probably be right around now.

You'll know you're pregnant if you have symptoms that surprise you & they keep getting stronger and stronger.

You could be pregnant. With my second child, I knew within the first week. I know that sounds crazy, but it's true! I even told people, who swore I was nuts, but I was right! I had this weird squeezing feeling in my uterus. Not a cramp like you would have with pms, but just a tightening of the muscles. I also had too much spit in my mouth. Again, I know that sounds weird, but it's true! You are almost to the point where you can take those early tests! Just hang on and you will know for sure shortly! Good luck. And if you aren't, don't worry, if it's meant to happen, it will. God is in control! There is a pastor's wife I know who had her tubes tied twice!!!! She had three kids and didn't want any more so she thought she would take care of it!!!! What a surprise when she ended up pregnant again with the fourth, went through the same scenario this time and had a fifth! So you see, even though this is an example of the opposite case, it shows everything will turn out as it should!!

For starters - I hope you are pregnant! I can tell you really want a baby - GOOD LUCK!

As for me, my first symptom was Mapping on my breasts. I had very tiny bluish red veins covering my chest. This occured 4 days before I missed my period. I tested that day - NEGATIVE. A few days later, I got a horrendous head and chest cold. I felt terrible! On the first day of my missed period - I tested again... it was a very faint positive line - I tested 3 more times just to be safe (all positive)!!! The tenderness and nausea really began to set in. I feel bloated and tired.

Overall - I think you need to just wait and try not to stress about it. I know that it is easier said than done - but your body's stress can make it harder to conceive!

Good Luck!

I don't know if you are, I just hope that you are. I turn 37 next month and just gave birth 3 weeks ago after TTC for 8 years. Don't give up and keep the stress low. Also, don't let the stress get too much into your marriage. Now that we have a child, our sex life and emotional connection has suffered b/c we focused too many years on trying to conceive. Remember there is life after baby even if you choose to adopt, but your relationship has to stay intact.

Good luck and baby dust to you always ++++++

The mind plays terrible tricks. you could be looking for things that arent really there or you could be getting early symptoms. If you are at least 8 days away from starting take a HPT. Dont over hydrate the night before and use morning pee. Good luck.

Also just an idea for you! If you are trying to conceive do not have sex everyday in your cycle get an ovulation calendar and find out your most fertile days make sure to make love on the peak days. Also if you have sex everyday then you are lessing the amount of sperm which brings down the probability of pregnacy.

I had the same symptoms and it ended up being my wishful thinking. (You can make your body do things just by thinking about something alot).

To really know for sure take a test the day you expect your period. If its negative and no period try again a few days later.

And try not to worry about it too much!

Normally, you won't have symptoms that early.

You only have to wait another week, to see if you get your period, or not.

Good luck. And, don't overanalize your body.
