To almost guarantee a positive pregnancy test you want to wait about 19 days after you think conception happened. If your unsure, you can test about 3 days before your missed period, but if testing before your missed period, make sure you use 1st morning urine. Its more potent with the pregnancy hormone.

Sperm can live inside the female body for 3-6 days before they die and are absorbed by the body.
When you ovulate the egg is viable for 5-6 days before it dies.

So if you ovulate on say day 5 and had intercourse on say day 3 or 4 you could def. become pregnant.

Take a test the first day after you miss your period to be sure!

2 weeks after you miss your period you can take a test. Or you could use the EPT test or the Clear blue test and take a test 5 days before your next missed period.

Wait for an accurate test result up to 2 days before your period is supposed to start. Get a blood test because they are more accurate. I'm curious as to why you put this question under adolescence tho.
