Sometimes war is necessary to free humans from tyranny. But really right now here in America I can’t say that I experience any tyranny, I have some things I am annoyed with, but we have a great system that allows us to voice our opinions and try to enact change.
The thing is that we are an educated nation now. The folks that are making our foreign affairs decisions do so from a perspective of a higher knowledge than the average American. The truth is that these days we have access to tons of information, and most of us are able to look at these situations and see the atrocities of war.
What it boils down to is that every war begins with a communication problem. For one reason or another, two parties are not able to come to an understanding because of local social customs and dialogue.
Perhaps the problem is that we rely on only a few people to represent our country. If we could open up bridges of communication between the actual humans in the relative countries, we could work these things out. The thing is that our knowledge of what they are really like is limited, and their knowledge of us is even more limited. Somehow we have to break down the communication barriers that keep the societies of the world from interacting.
I think what we should do is have some type of global initiative that would take the help of all the countries in the world. Say, we want to build a base for the moon, crafts to go back and forth, equipment to mine minerals and gasses from space, solar panels, devices to divert the path of an asteroid or incinerate a comet, things of that nature.
Then every country in the world picks stuff that they can manufacture. In a group effort we all put it together in space. I mean, one day we may have to leave this rock, and it might be nice to prepare for a worldwide evacuation. It will take us a million years to get it right so we should start now.
In history it seems that what brings nations together is business and common enemies. Well, we can certainly do business together. We have common enemies, the global extinction of man by some celestial event. The only way we can keep humans from going extinct is to work together to keep it from happening.

You might want to take down the Communism thing.
You have heard of Korea and Vietnam, right?
And China and Cuba?
And Communism is making quite the comeback in Russia. They just don't call it that anymore.
And it looks like Bush ignored Latin America long enough for it to take hold In Venezuela,Chile and El Salvador,to name a few.

Yeah, a certain war that started with a tax revolt led by businessmen and won by virtue of an armed citizenry led to the formation of the greatest country the world has ever known!

You pretty much answered your own question. And if you don't think your own reasons are good ones, then you should go live in Europe.
Peace has only ever been achieved by war, force and the projection of military might. Ask yourself this; if we disbanned our military and swore to never fight for anything again, would the rest of the world let us live in peace?

We didn't end slavery as it still exists in this country! Fascism is alive and well in the white house. We may have stopped Hitler, but he attacked everyone else FIRST! And when did we end communism?
Better get your "facts" straight!
"DSS hunts for kids after raid: Feds scooped up parents as illegals at ‘sweatshop’
By Dave Wedge
Boston Herald Chief Enterprise Reporter
Thursday, March 8, 2007 - Updated: 01:24 AM EST
State officials are scrambling to track down children left behind at schools and day cares when their parents were detained by an immigration raid on a New Bedford “sweatshop.”
“The troops that stormed the factory are better at corraling people than dealing with family issues,” said state Sen. Mark Montigny (D-New Bedford).
Since 300 federal agents swept into the New Bedford factory Tuesday, reports have poured into the Department of Social Services and other agencies about children being left behind with babysitters, day-care providers and relatives with little information on their parents.".....
The company’s owner, Francesco Insolia, 50, and three managers are facing federal charges of conspiring to hire illegal aliens. Insolia was reportedly out of jail and back at the factory working yesterday.
Workers were allegedly assisted in obtaining phony work papers, fined for talking and bathroom breaks and worked long hours to pump out military vests and other gear under the company’s $91 million government contract, federal officials allege.
Authorities say DSS has stepped in to help 35 children from 30 families, but U.S. Rep. William Delahunt (D-Quincy) said there may be as many as 70 other detainees with dire family issues.
“We need to have more information, and there has to be better coordination,” Delahunt said. “It’s incumbent on the federal authorities to cooperate fully.”
If detainees are deported and have American-born children, the kids could go back to their home country with their parents, remain here with family or go into DSS custody."
Business really sucks, don't they! Anything for a buck, and on anyones back!
HOW DID YOU LIKE THIS PART? And another company was busted in Ft. Worth making MRE's!
