I personally like Wal-Mart a bit better for your everyday shopping, like cleaners and detergents and some foods. But if you are looking to spend a bit more money for a bit higher quality products like clothing and furnishings and such then Target is the place.
So really it depends what I'm shopping for.

Wal-Mart is usually cheaper, but I do like Target's "dollar" section at the front of the store (or, at least there's one at the Target nearest to me). I suppose Target is my favorite. However, I do most of my shopping at Wal-Mart because it's closer and there is usually more selection.

I love target, but find myself at wal mart 99% of the time, walmart just has more things, and most of the normal everyday needs are less expensive at walmart... But for household items and home decor type things target has more trendy things.

Target is by far much better than Walmart. I didn't used to think that way. I now work at Target and find that things only cost one to five cents less at Walmart. I think Target has a lot more to offer than Walmart.
