I think Disney's running out of ideas. To me, when we got out of the 1900's, Disney started declining. The older films were so imaginative, and all of those beautiful pictures were hand drawn! Like, every bubble in the Little Mermaid was drawn by hand! And the background pictures in Sleeping Beauty were like a beautiful work of art, but now Disney relies on computer animation, and all we ever see of hand drawn animation are sequels to movies that in no way ever needed a sequel made. The newer films are cute, but they are nothing like the older Disney films. Disney's losing it's touch, in my opinion. No one has the imagination that Walt Disney or Howard Ashman had. It's sad, really. To think that Disney shut down their animation studio where the older films were made is depressing.

The Pixar stuff is great like the Incredibles, Monsters Inc and Toy story but the other stuff is aimed at children. I still think early Disney was far better and Dumbo is a all time classic but now I am 37 I don`t think I am a good person to talk about movies for kids. I will say tho I do like some of the Dreamworks movies so Disney has competition Shrek is brilliant and you will notice Dreamworks on many a new animated movie

I love the few Disney movies that I've seen. There are so many out there that I haven't seen. I did notice though that in some of the movies, the prince, or a man always comes and rescues the princess. This is one of the reasons why I like Beauty and the Beast better than any other princess movie, because I feel like Beauty was the one who saved the prince for a change. Anyway, I really do like them all, it's fun for children and adults as well. My favorites are Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, I'm sure I like more, but can't think of any at the moment. I hope this helps, and good luck with your paper!!!! :0)

Well to date there was only one box office flop.Treasure Planet. I like it but it was there last animated movie, after that Disney fired all the animators and even Walt Disney's drawing table. I could not believe it, but it's true. The went digital like all the others, they bought the competition Pixar. Now they are going to rehire artists again. This may have been a move that the public can't understand, Why? There first release on paper and pencil again will be Frog Princess, due out this summer.
Walt Disney is probably turning over in his grave, he has developed an empire that in my opinion will never be matched.

I think they've lost their way. They were, at one time, making quality children's movies that could also be enjoyed by adults, such as Aladdin, The Lion King, etc. However, they, like all other corporations, have abandoned making quality movies in favor of making money. They constantly churn out these horrible CGI animated movies with terrible plots and characters just because they know droves of parents will take their kids to see them. I mean, "Cars"? Are you kidding me? I think they should go back to what made them good in the first place, namely old-school animation and well thought out storylines.

I forgot to mention that Disney did in fact license and distribute some Hayao Miyazaki movies, which are excellent for children as well as adults. So I guess that's something they've done right recently.

Loves them! Disney movies are always sweet and have a good message at the end. I don't think that Walt Disney ever came out with a bad animated film!

I love them. I have 2 children 11 years old and 20 months old and we can all sit down together and watch a disney film. They cater for all ages which is great especially for me because of the 10 year age gap between my daughters.

that's continuously a complicated question, as I grew up for the period of Disney's Nineteen Eighteen Nineties "golden revival." jointly as i actually think of each and all of the Disney movies from 1988-1998 have been ok performed, i think of the suited is in all probability Aladdin. that's to not say that the older Disney action picture have been inferior, as they unquestionably weren't. Pinnochio, Fantasia, Bambi, and snoozing attractiveness are all astonishing movies and have been all made until now 1960 (I nevertheless think of the combat against Malifecent in snoozing attractiveness is one in all Disney's 3 perfect scenes ever). What makes Aladdin particular is that each and each character is critical and has their own distinctive character. Even Abu and the Carpet serve key roles and function very distinctive and guy or woman mannerisms. The romance between Aladdin and Jasmine is in step with threat the main actual of any Disney action picture and that they variety of thrive on romantic couples of their movies. although, in step with threat the main distinctive characterizations in the action picture are the Genie of the Lamp and the Grand Vizier Jafar. Genie's otherwordliness and random goofiness became offset via his lonileness and prefer for freedom. that's an surprising assessment that became performed to perfection via Robin Williams. Jafar's utter ruthlessness became thoroughly oblivious to absolutely everyone around him because of the fact he performed the element of the "unswerving" Vizier so nicely, regardless of if he became plotting to overthrow and wreck the Sultan all alongside. that's that this motley decision of personalities that makes this action picture so particular. jointly as you need to argue that "attractiveness and the Beast" and "The Lion King" constructive properties comparable character progression, Aladdin became the top of this. besides, it extra desirable exemplified the breathtaking artistry that got here from combining hand-drawn cells with laptop-lively imagery. the place attractiveness and the Beast originated this, Aladdin perfected it.
