Could someone who knows alot about apple macs tell me if the imac with the 20" screen which comes with 1gb of ram is sufficient to run motion on it smoothly without skipping and all the usual problems.
I intend to upgrade the ram myself to 2gb but im just thinking is the graphics card good enough for me to do my graphics work.

If you are talking about movies that are already assembled (like DVD or files on the HD), then 1GB is plenty if you are running them in the mac enviroment or with windows using boot camp, assuming you are not running anything else. If you want to use parallel desktop and use a window movie viewer, 1 GB might be a little tight.

Also if you are trying to edit movies (adobe premier type of stuff) at very high res (full screen on the 20 at full 1680x1050 resolution), then 1GB is not enough.
